Lighting Types

From legacy incandescent to compact LEDs—get even, vivid coverage for pools and spas.

  • Standard size (large niche): Pentair IntelliBrite Architectural—white or color LED retrofit that fits most “can” niches.
  • Modern small niche: Pentair MicroBrite / GloBrite—compact LEDs for steps, benches, and baja shelves; typically 12V.
Helpful before we arrive: distance from light niche to J-box, niche size/type, and known voltage (120V or 12V).

Incandescent vs LED

  • Incandescent: still available but fading out; runs hot; higher energy draw.
  • LED (our pick): cooler, brighter per watt, longer life, color shows available.

Standard Large-Niche (Most Common)

We typically replace old incandescent can lights with an LED that fits the same niche—no shell change.

  • Process: pull a new cord through your existing conduit, swap fixture, test & program.
  • Voltage: most legacy pools are 120V; many newer builds are 12V— we verify.

White LED vs Color LED

Spa Lighting

Spas often share the same large niche or use compact LEDs. Color LEDs look extra vivid in small, reflective shells.
